Bill Clement played in the National Hockey League for 11 years with the Philadelphia Flyers (Broad Street Bullies), Washington Capitals, and Calgary Flames. He twice won the coveted Stanley Cup and played in 2 NHL All-Star games. Following his successful career on the ice, Clement plunged into personal bankruptcy and financial (and emotional) ruin, failing dismally in his first venture into the real world. With no job, income or career training, Clement built a personal success story as an acclaimed broadcaster with ESPN & NBC, a nationally recognized actor, a thriving entrepreneur and an international speaker. The former center began his pro hockey career with the Philadelphia Flyers organization, where he won two Stanley Cup championships. He then moved to Washington and after one season with the Capitals, in which he played in his first NHL All-Star Game, was traded to the Atlanta Flames where he played for five seasons and was selected to his second All-Star Game. In 1980, he moved with the Flames to Calgary, where he finished his career in 1982. Clement is a native of Thurso, Quebec, the same Canadian town that produced NHL Hall of Famer, Guy Lafleur.
