Gene Randall

Gene Randall’s award winning journalism career can be measured by the history-making events he covered, both in the United States and abroad.

As a Washington-based CNN Anchor and Correspondent (2003-2010) he was on the scene for the fall of the Berlin Wall, the liberation of Kuwait, U.S. troops in Somalia, the U.S invasion of Panama and the Exxon Valdez disaster. He also covered five U.S. Presidential campaigns on the road and as a host of "Inside Politics". With NBC, as Moscow Correspondent, Gene chronicled the Solidarity strikes in Poland, the political rise of Mikhail Gorbachev, and the unrest that led to the end of Communist domination in Eastern Europe.

Randall offers all that experience and global savvy in areas ranging from panel moderating, hosting corporate and association meetings and online interviewing to high-stakes issues video production and media training. Panel moderating is a specialty. Gene deftly handles subjects ranging from politics, world affairs and trade to health care, homebuilding, energy policy and the business of business.

Examples of Randall's work: he appeared at the North American meeting of the Colas Group, the world leader in road construction and maintenance. Using a TV-news format, he anchored a three-hour workshop promoting Colas’ commitment to a culture of continuous improvement and the need for its companies to embrace the concept of change to drive future growth and profitability. Gene moderated two high-powered panels on U.S foreign trade at a gathering sponsored by the Commerce Department and the District Export Council. He also acted as Master of Ceremonies. His involvement was absolutely essential to the overwhelming success of our conference.”

In Washington, at a U.S. Chamber of Commerce issues-luncheon, Randall moderated an influential panel focused on the BP oil spill and its ramifications for the formulation of a coherent U-S energy policy. The group host stated: "[Gene] is the best. His ability to keep a conversation on message, entertaining, and insightful is unrivaled. This comes with prep work, a great stage presence and the ability to get the audience involved. I can’t recommend Gene enough”.

Gene Randall has a Bachelor of Arts in English from Georgetown University.
