Mark Sievewright is one of the most sought after speakers in the financial services industry and, during the past 10 years, has spoken at more than 200 financial services events and conferences around the world. Mark has keynoted numerous bankers’ associations’ events and credit union conferences around the country. In 2008, he will chair the US Branch Banking Conference (for the sixth consecutive year) and will also chair the Retail Financial Services Best Practices conference. Internationally, Mark keynoted both the 2005 and 2006 China Retail Finance & Payments conferences held in Beijing and Shanghai, respectively. Additionally, he will again be a speaker at the America’s Credit Unions Conference in 2008 and the World Council of Credit Unions’ conference in 2009. As a recognized thought-leader, Mark’s topics range from the macro trends impacting financial services to the specific strategies and tactics financial firms need to develop in core areas such as information technology, customer focus, delivery and distribution channels, payments and risk management. His presentations - frequently cited as being both informative and entertaining - always contain actionable information and guidance aimed at driving successful growth strategies. Mark’s financial services career began in 1979 when he joined HSBC in the United Kingdom. During his nearly 13 years at the bank, Mark held a variety of senior business management and operational roles within the bank’s Consumer Banking and Card & Payment Services divisions. In 1991, he joined MasterCard International in Brussels, Belgium and was responsible for Europe-wide marketing and commercial services which included sales management, corporate communications, fraud management and business/ IT management. In 1995, Mark joined Payment Systems, Inc (now Taylor-Nelson-Sofres Financial Services), a leading marketing information company specializing in financial services. He served as Executive Vice President, International Operations and, subsequently, President and CEO. In March, 2000, Mark became President and CEO of TowerGroup, the leading provider of information technology-related research and advisory services. He managed the sale of TowerGroup to MasterCard International prior to joining Fiserv - a Fortune 500 company - in December, 2004. As Corporate Senior Vice President, Mark works directly with Fiserv clients and businesses to develop successful business growth strategies. Mark Sievewright was born and educated in Wales, part of the United Kingdom. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and is an Associate Member of the UK’s Chartered Institute of Bankers. He also has Diplomas in Marketing, Business Administration and Human Resources Management.
