Uwe Reinhardt

Uwe E. Reinhardt is a speaker who is a Princeton University professor who has spent 30 years researching health economics and policy. His Yale doctorate was completed with a dissertation entitled Physician Productivity and the Demand for Health Manpower.

From 1987 to 1990, Professor Reinhardt was a member of the National Leadership Commission on Health Care, a private sector initiative established to develop options for healthcare reform. He continues to serve on that body's successor, the National Leadership Coalition on Healthcare, co-chaired by former Presidents Carter and Ford. He is a past president and current board member of the Association of Health Services Research and has also served on a number of government committees, among them the National Council on Healthcare Technology, the Special Medical Advisory Group and the Physician Payment Review Committee.

Today, Uwe Reinhardt is a member of the Council on the Economic Impact of Healthcare Reform. Dr. Uwe Reinhardt speaks to groups across the country, sharing his expert insights on the economic impact of the current revolution in healthcare delivery and cost control.
